PORTLAND, Ore. --Maui Robins and Jayde Harris both secured double-doubles, but the Portland volleyball team fell to the Gonzaga Bulldogs 3-2 (25-18, 25-19, 23-25, 25-27, 10-15) Saturday at home at Chiles Center. The loss dropped Portland's record to 9-15 overall and 2-11 in WCC play.
The Pilots were led by double-doubles from both Robins, who had 13 kills and 21 digs, and Harris, who had 16 kills and 13 digs. Elin Larsson also added 14 kills to help the offense. On the defensive end, Grace Zilbert chipped in for with 20 digs to go with eight blocks from Charity Bradley.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Pilots took the first set 25-18 helped by a solid showing on the attacking side. Portland registered a .342 attack percentage with 15 kills in the set victory. The Pilots opened up a 20-12 lead in the stanza and coasted to victory from there. Portland got a solid defensive performance from a front row that blocked six Gonzaga attacks in the stanza.
SET 2 | Portland continued to roll after a set-one win by securing a 25-19 victory in the second set. The Pilots led from the opening point on in the set to earn the victory. Portland opened up as much as an eight point lead at 22-14 before closing out the set, totaling 15 kills while only registering one attack error in the process. The Pilots hit .483 over the course of the set. The Portland offense also got a boost from four aces in the stanza.
SET 3 | Gonzaga stayed alive with a third-set win to make it a 2-1 match. The Pilots came up short in a back-and-forth battle, losing 25-23 in a set that featured seven lead changes and was tied 11 times. Neither team had a lead of more than three points along the way.
SET 4 | Portland then dropped their second straight set 27-25 to brind the match level at two sets apiece. The Pilots came up short in a back-and-forth set, losing in a stanza that featured four lead changes and was tied 17 times. Neither team opened up a lead of more than three points along the way.
SET 5 | Early on, Portland held a two set to none lead, but couldn't take another set on their way to losing the match. The Pilots had a lead early in the set at 7-6 before Gonzaga took over.
