THIS WEEKEND: MPSF CHAMPIONSHIPS
• The Pilots men's and women's track and field teams are headed to Spokane for the MPSF Championships on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 18-19.

LAST MEETS: UW HUSKY CLASSIC/PORTLAND INDOOR FOUR
• Veerle Bakker claimed a new school record of 9:11.90 in the women's 3000 meter run, and Laura Pellicoro set a new school record of 4:34.45 in the women's indoor mile at the UW Husky Classic this past weekend.
• Jacob Klemz posted the second-best all-time program finish in the men's 3000m, clocking in at 7:51.95 to secure ninth individually in the race. Riley Osen collected the ninth-place Portland all-time finish in the event with a new personal best of 7:57.82, garnering 16th overall.
• Claire Fagan locked in the ninth-best program finish in her Pilot debut in the women's 5000m run at Dempsey Indoor, coming in at 16:32.08.
• Lauren Block claimed an individual win in the women's 800m with a time of 2:22.29 at the Chiles Center this past Sunday.
• Portland's 4x400 relay team of Ella Parker, Avery Gill, Ellie Erikson, and Tara Fuiten easily defeated their only opposition in Lewis & Clark at the Portland Indoor Four, registering a time of 3:58.80 for the win.

THIS SEASON
• The Pilots claimed four individual wins on their home track at the Portland Indoor Three: Konnor Hathaway in the men's 600m, Grace Oswin in the women's 600m, Chris Morzenti in the men's 800m, and Ellie Erikson in the women's 800m.
• Chris Anderson placed third overall with a time of 4:12.15 in the return of the Halftime Mile at the Chiles Center.
• The women's 4x400 team of Avery Gill, Ella Parker, Ellie Erikson and Tara Fuiten secured first place Chiles with a time of 3:55.59--nearly breaking the school record of 3:54.14 which was set back in 2016.
• At the UW Invitational on January 29th, Matt Strangio and Parker Wilkerson each notched new school records in the men's mile and 800 meter runs, respectively, and Laura Pellicoro took home second-place all-time in the women's mile.
• In the men's 3000 meter run at the same meet, Jacob Klemz clocked in at 7:54.83 to claim Portland's fourth-place all-time record in the event, Stan Niesten collected sixth-place all-time at 7:55.92, and Riley Osen shaved off nearly 20 seconds from his previous PR to collect eighth-place all-time at 7:58.95.
• Six Top-10 program finishes and four individual wins highlighted the Pilots' first home meet, the Portland Indoor Two, held back on Sunday, January 23rd.
• In the men's 600m run, Parker Wilkerson claimed an individual win with the second-best all-time finish in the race (1:21.72), Konnor Hathaway posted the third-best all-time finish in second-place with a time of 1:23.00, and Sully Nordheim and Jake Knoblich landed the fifth and sixth-place all-time finishes in the event with times of 1:23.44 and 1:25.15, respectively.
• Chris Morzenti secured first-place overall in the men's 800m run, clocking in with a time of 1:53.83 to overtake seventh in the all-time UP record books.
• Making her debut appearance in the women's 400m dash, Laura Pellicoro put up the sixth-best all-time finish with a time of 58.74.
• Chris Anderson finished the day with an individual victory in the men's mile, earning a new PR of 4:18.55, and Ellie Erikson earned an overall win in the women's 800 meter run with a time of 2:21.49.
• A combined eight Pilots from the men's and women's track and field teams collected Top-10 program finishes at the UW Preview on January 15th.
• Sophomore Parker Wilkerson notched a new school record in the men's indoor 800 meter run, clocking in with a time of 1:50.98 to overtake the previous record of 1:52.63 set by Cobie Chavez-Killinger back in 2016.
• Veerle Bakker produced yet another outstanding performance, nabbing a new personal best of 9:14.06 in the women's 3000m to land in second-place all-time in the race.
• Konnor Hathaway later claimed the fourth-best program finish in the men's 800m, Matt Strangio nabbed eighth-place all-time debuting in the men's 3000m, and Chris Morzenti locked 10th-place all-time in the men's mile.
• For the women, Laura Pellicoro ran into eighth-place all-time in the 3000m, and Teresa Perez registered the sixth-best program finish in the 600m. Sprinter Tara Fuiten posted the eighth-place all-time best in the 400m.
• Anna Pataki opened the track and field season with a historic performance in Boston back on Saturday, December 4th, setting a new national record for Hungary in the indoor 5K with a time of 15:55.65 while nabbing the third-best Portland all-time finish in the event.

LAST SEASON
• Neither of Portland's men's or women's track and field teams competed during the 2021 indoor season after the MPSF announced the cancellation of the conference championship meet back in early January.
• The Pilots last competed on the indoor track in 2020, hosting three meets at the Chiles Center before the remainder of the season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
