VANCOUVER, Wash. – The Portland Pilots took first in the top varsity eight race at Vancouver Lake and took third in the varsity four and second varsity eight races against Saint Mary's and Seattle U.
Portland's top boat finished with a time of 7:13.7, with Sage Iona as the coxswain and Catherine Watson as the stroke. It's the second win of the season for the Pilots' first varsity eight.
The varsity four finished third with a time of 9:13.5. Clarissa Gutierrez was the coxswain while Alysa Gribben was the stroke. The second varsity eight was just 0.4 seconds behind Saint Mary's, finishing with a time of 7:42.1. Avery Romano was the stroke with Dawon Lee as the coxswain.
The next race for the Pilots is next weekend.  They'll take on Oregon State on Saturday, April 23 in Dexter, Ore. Check PortlandPilots.com for more information.
