FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Laura Pellicoro advanced to the quarterfinals of the 800-meter run on day two for the Portland Pilots at the NCAA West Preliminary hosted at John McConnell Field on Wednesday.

Pellicoro finished second in her heat to earn an automatic advancement. The top three from each of the six heats plus the next six best times advanced to Saturday's quarterfinals at 5:05 p.m. (PT).

Emma Jenkins competed in Thursday's 1,500-meter run and clocked a time of 4:29.13, but was not able to advance to the quarterfinals.

The Pilots will have three men's runners back in action on Friday as Cathal Doyle will run in the 1,500-meter men's quarterfinals at 3:15 p.m. (PT). Riley Osen will toe the line in the 3,000-meter Steeplechase semifinals at 3:40 p.m. (PT) and then Jacob Klemz competes in the 5,000-meter run at 6:10 p.m. (PT).
