Graduate Assistants are a vital part of the Portland Pilot Athletic Department, and the GA program provides students with an outstanding opportunity to pair education and work experience in college athletics. GA's work up to 20 hours/week during the academic year and vacation periods while enrolled in one of Portland's graduate programs. GA compensation includes up to $10k of tuition towards academic year enrollment ($5k/semester), as well as up to $12k in student employment earnings.

About Portland Athletics: Portland offers a nationally-competitive athletic program committed to athletic and academic success and the holistic development of student-athletes. In 2021-22 Portland Athletics saw six different programs participate in postseason play, with both basketball teams, both track and field squads, men's soccer program and men's cross country representing the Pilots in the postseason. In the classroom the Pilots posted a 3.4 cumulative GPA across all teams, with 126 student-athletes named to the Dean's List in the fall and 114 in the spring. Portland student-athletes also graduated at a rate of 93 percent this according to the latest NCAA Graduation Success Rate.
