PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Portland Pilots finished their exhibition stretch a perfect 3-0, beating the No. 3 Washington Huskies 2-0 in their final match before starting the regular season.

Washington entered this season as the No. 3 team in the nation in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll and finished last year's regular season second in RPI. The Pilots beat the No. 5 Oregon State Beavers -- who were ranked first in last season's final regular season RPI -- 4-0 in the previous exhibition.

It's on to regular season soccer for the Pilots, who will open the fall with a showdown here at Merlo Field against the Central Arkansas Bears. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. Check PortlandPilots.com for live stats and video options.
