Portland Head Coach Nick Carlin-Voigt on the win
"Really proud of our entire roster tonight. It was always going to be a tough turnaround physically playing two games in 48 hours. I told the guys if we stay committed to each other's success, the sky is the limit for this group. You saw a very unselfish team tonight, which makes our coaching staff happy. Awesome for CJ (Tibbling) to give the group the lift we needed with four goals and Muslim (Umar) to score his first goal of his career in a Pilot jersey. Buba (Fofanah) had two nice assists in the second half, and you could see our depth was on full display tonight, which is exactly what's needed to unlock our full potential. We now turn our attention to Season Two and the start of WCC play as we host Saint Mary's Friday at 7 p.m. We need the entire community to come out and get behind the Pilots!"
