SAN MATEO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference announced this morning that Portland Pilots junior outside hitter Jayde Harris was named the WCC's Women's Offensive Volleyball Player of the Week following her performance in the Pilots' match against Pacific. Harris is the first Pilot to win WCC Player of the Week since August 2018.
Harris was crucial in Portland's win over Pacific. She scored a match-high 23 kills, leading a fast and efficient Portland offense to victory. This was the first time the Pilots had defeated Pacific since 2019, earning Portland their first conference win of the season. Harris also played a strong defensive match, earning herself two solo-blocks on top of her already stellar offensive performance. In addition to her exceptional performance against Pacific, Harris earned a total of 22 kills with an attack percentage of .450 against Saint Mary's earlier in the week.
