Portland Head Coach Nick Carlin-Voigt on the win
"The first half we were sharp and had a strong start to the match. I thought we were in control of the game until we made a correctable mistake, so that will be a good collective teaching moment to grow. Seton Hall is a tough team that had a great Friday win against Oregon State, so we knew it would be a fight against a team that won the 2021 spring BIG EAST. I thought once we settled down and recovered and starting playing on our terms we got back in control of the ball, which led to our second half goals when the game was in the balance. The team showed good character and composure and found a way to finish strong. We now get a much needed day's rest as we prepare to host a nationally ranked top-five team in UCLA Saturday night under the lights at Merlo."
