New Orleans, LA -- The Portland Pilot women's cross country program was named to the 2022 NCAA Division I Women's Cross Country All-Academic Teams list by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The list is reserved for teams who were able to maintain a cumulative team GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. The Pilots earned their spot on the list by attaining a cumulative GPA of 3.69. The Pilot women were one of 246 teams to be recognized.
Laura Pellicoro was recognized with All-Academic Individual Honors. All-Academic honors are reserved for individuals who have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher, while also placing in the top-10% of either their regional competition or at the national championships. Pellicoro placed second overall at the NCAA West Regional Championships, followed by a 25th place finish at the NCAA National Championships. These performances earned her All-Region and All-American honors, respectively.
