MALIBU, Calif. -- The Portland volleyball team could not out-play an opposing Waves offense Saturday on the road falling to Pepperdine in straight sets (18-25, 19-25, 19-25). The loss dropped Portland's record to 8-17 overall and 3-10 in WCC play.
Maui Robins led the Pilots attack while racking up nine kills and recording a hitting percentage of .28. The Pilots also got nine digs from Maddie Corpe to lead the team defensively.

SET 2 | A 25-19 set-two loss put Portland behind two sets to none in the match. The Pilots lost the first point and never clawed back into the lead before dropping the set.
SET 3 | Pepperdine finished off the sweep with a set-three win. The Pilots fell in a tough set 25-19. Portland trailed by as many as six points as Pepperdine grabbed the advantage for good at 13-12 in a set that was tied up five times before the Waves took over the lead.
