SEATTLE, Wash. – Portland Pilots Rowing competed at the Head of the Lake regatta this Sunday, going up against top-level talent. The first varsity eight took fourth in their event, the second varsity eight took fifth and the varsity four took sixth.
"We executed at a high level today," Portland head coach Gulliver Scott said. "All three of our boats identified some clear objectives heading into this race and it was great to see them achieve them."
The races on Sunday concluded the fall season for the Pilots. In the first of their final fall races, the Portland first varsity eight took fourth with a time of 17:47.785. Leahbelle Paladino was the coxswain with Kate Feutsel as the stroke.
Dawon Lee was the coxswain for the second varsity eight while Phoebe Barkann served as stroke as they took fifth in their race with a time of 19:07.572. The varsity four took sixth with a time of 21:36.333, with Clarissa Gutierrez as the coxswain and Gabriela Garcia as the stroke.
