SEATTLE, Wash. -- Teresa Perez runs 4:50.43 in the women's one mile event, good for No.9 all-time at UP, shaving over six seconds off of her personal best. Her performance netted her the win in heat 2, establishing a strong pace for the remainder of the meet.
Laura Pellicoro successfully completed a strong double, running 4:35.37 to finish fifth overall in the women's one mile event. Her time was her third fastest mark to date, made especially impressive after bettering her school record in the 3,000 meter the evening prior. Stina Pettersson earned herself another PR of 4:56.92, followed by another solid performance by Tianha Woodger in 4:59.93.
Estanis Ruiz highlighted the men's mile finishing in 4:02.08, good for No. 8 all-time. Henry Mong finished just off his PR in 4:03.01, his second fastest mark ever. Mong helped elevated his teammate, Ahmed Sado to a new PR of 4:03.71.
Moe Ombougno made his 800 meter collegiate debut, running 1:56.36, a new PR for him. Konnor Hathaway returned to form, running just off his third-all-time mark, finishing in 1:52.47. Yutaka Roberts, Aidan Fitzgerald and Sully Nordheim both finished strong in 1:54.48, 1:54.81 and 1:56.67, respectively.
