PORTLAND, Ore. -- Avery Gill claimed an individual win in the women's 400m dash with a PR time of 58.04 at the Portland Indoor Two meet in the Chiles Center on Sunday afternoon. Her time now sits at No. 4 All-time in Pilot history. Gill was followed closely by teammates Ella Parker (1:01.01), Isabella Dreiling (1:01.66), and Alexia Lipscomb (1:03.48) for third, seventh and 11th, respectively.

In the mile, Lauren Block finished sixth overall in 5:15.30. Block was followed by Tait Rowley who ran a new PR of 5:16.57, Julia Ghiselli in a PR 5:17.65 and Katie Newton in a PR of 5:19.55. They finished seventh, ninth and tenth, respectively. Alexa Hague finished third overall in her heat in 5:24.48, while Milan Hague won her heat in a time of 5:46.58.

Portland's 4x400 relay team of Ella Parker, Avery Gill, Isabella Dreiling and Alexia Lipscomb easily defeated their opposition by nearly eight seconds, recording a time of 4:07.77 for the win.

On the men's side, the Pilots held strong in the 3,000 meter with AJ Reyes and Kai Vickers breaking the 9-minute barrier with 8:55.16 and 8:58.98, respectively. Steven Durr held on for 9:12.79 to secure a new personal record.

The men's mile was highlighted by two PR performances from the Pilots. Mason Jekogian finished fourth overall in 4:20.87 from heat 1, while Will Bush finished in 4:35.69 to claim victory in heat 2.

The Pilots men's and women's track and field teams will return Thursday, Feb. 9th, for the Halftime Mile in the Chiles Center. The Pilots will also head to Seattle, Wash. on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 10-11th, for the Husky Classic. For more coverage and info, head to PortlandPilots.com.
