PALO ALTO, Calif./SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- The Pilots started off Day 1 of the Stanford Invitational with the entire team running personal records, and three all-time marks.Â

The men's 3000 meter steeplechase saw Estanis Ruiz place sixth overall in 8:42.72, a PR as a Pilot.Â

In the men's 5000 Meter Run, Jonas Gertsen (13:54.55), Chris Anderson (14:11.41), and Ahmed Sado (14:24.54) all recorded new PRs. Lakelin Conrad also ran a new 5,000 Meter PR (14:21.49) at Mike Fanelli Classic in San Francisco, Calif.Â

Matt Strangio ran a big PR of 13:31.87 to finish fifth overall in the Men's Invitational 5,000 Meter Race. His time was good for No. 2 All-Time in Pilot history, only four seconds behind Woody Kincaid's mark of 13:27.32 from 2016.Â

The night concluded with the 10,000 Meter Race, highlighted by Daniel Abdala's 28:51.93, good for No. 10 All-time. Zak Kirk also PRed with a time of 29:03.80, and Jakob Kintzele ran 29:17.10 to finish off the evening.Â
The Pilots will be back tomorrow for Day 2 of the Stanford Invitational in Palo Alto, Calif., as well as the Pacific Open in Forest Grove, Ore.
