Dublin, Ireland -- Cathal Doyle wins the Athletics Ireland Senior National Championships in the 1500 meter event.

Doyle, a recent Universit of Portland graduate, took the 1500 meter title at the Athletics Ireland Senior National Championships with a time of 3:40.11. Doyle finished ahead of Nick Griggs who was second in 3:40.64 and Shane Bracken in third who ran 3:42.05. This marks the second year in a row that Doyle has claimed this title, using his devastating finishing kick to pull away from the field in the last lap.

Doyle earned his place in Pilot history during his time in Portland, ranking first all-time in the 1500 (3:36.85) and the outdoor mile (3:56.05). He also earned two Second-Team All-American honors for the 2021 and 2023 outdoor track and field championships.
