SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- The Portland volleyball team took down the CSU Fullerton Titans in five sets (16-25, 25-21, 12-25, 25-17, 15-11) Friday at The Nest. The out-of-conference victory moved the Pilots' overall record to 3-2 on the season.
The Pilots were led by a double-double from Kili Robins, who registered 11 kills and 14 digs on the day. Maui Robins also added 15 kills to help the attack. On the defensive end, Larkin Chock chipped in for with 14 digs to go with three blocks from Taina Kaauwai.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Pilots fell behind early, dropping a tough first set 25-16. Portland trailed by as many as 11 points as CSU Fullerton grabbed the advantage for good at 6-5 in a set that was tied up four times before the Titans took control.
SET 2 | Portland rallied after dropping the first set to take the second set 25-21, tying the match at 1-1. The Pilots scored first and never trailed in the set to secure the victory. Portland opened up as much as a four point lead at 4-0 before finishing off the set, totaling 15 kills along the way.
SET 3 | Portland dropped set three, putting the Pilots in a 2-1 deficit. The Pilots lost the first point and never clawed back into the lead before falling in the set 25-12.
SET 4 | Portland then responded to secure the fourth set 25-17 to force a fifth set. The Pilots took a 1-0 lead and never looked back in the set to secure the victory. Portland opened up as much as an eight point lead at 24-16 before closing out the stanza, totaling 18 kills while only notching one attack error in the process.
SET 5 | Down two sets to one, Portland powered back to win sets four and five, culminating in a 15-11 fifth-set victory, to take the match 3-2. The Pilots took set five thanks to a strong performance on the attacking end. Portland put together a .316 attack percentage with nine kills in the set win. After the lead changed hands two times, the Pilots took control for good at 11-10 and rode that advantage to victory.
