MCMINNVILLE, Ore. -- Portland Pilots Women's Cross Country opened their season at the Linfield Harrier Classic, fourth overall in 88 points.
The team was led by Redshirt Sophomore Tiahna Woodger who finished ninth overall in a time of 14:06.9 for the 4,000 meter distance. Following Woodger, Stina Pettersson would come in second for the Pilots, completing her race in 16th place overall with a time of 14:16.8. The remainder of the scoring five would finish in 23rd with Tait Rowley in 14:39.4, Madison Griffith in 31st in 14:59.0 and Katie Newton would round out the Pilot's scoring in 37th with a time of 15:12.6. The Pilot women would accumulate a total of 88 points, good for fourth overall behind Oregon State University with 36 points, University of Oregon with 40 points and Seattle U. with 77 points.
The Pilots will be racing again at the Oak Knoll Loop Run on Sept. 16, 2023 at Oak Knoll Golf Course, starting at 9:30 a.m. For more coverage and info, visit PortlandPilots.com.
