LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- The Portland volleyball team lost to the UNLV Lady Rebels 3-1 (19-25, 25-20, 18-25, 21-25) Friday on the road at Cox Pavilion. The non-conference loss dropped Portland to 5-6 on the season.
Maui Robins finished with 16 kills on the day to lead the Pilots attack while finishing with a hitting percentage of .5. Una Rajkovic also pitched in with five aces in the contest. The Pilots also got six digs from Maddie Corpe to lead them defensively.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Pilots fell behind early, losing a tough first set 25-19. Portland trailed by as many as seven points as UNLV never gave up the lead in a set that was tied up four times before the Lady Rebels took control.
SET 2 | Portland evened the match at 1-1 with a 25-20 second-set win. The Pilots led from the first point on in the set to earn the victory. Portland opened up as much as a six point lead at 15-9 before finishing off the set. The Pilots hit .360 over the course of the set. The Portland offense also got a boost from three aces in the stanza.
SET 3 | UNLV went ahead 2-1 in the match after taking down the Pilots in set three. The Pilots lost the first point and fought from behind the rest of the way before falling in the set 25-18.
SET 4 | Portland then dropped the fourth set 25-21 to finish off the match. The Pilots couldn't persevere past a furious UNLV rally, falling after leading by seven points at 12-5 earlier in the set.
