Portland then surrendered that advantage as Saint Mary's forced overtime by tying things up at 61-61 by the end of the fourth. Saint Mary's then snagged a 63-61 advantage with 4:24 left in overtime before Portland responded by going on a 5-0 run to seize a 66-63 lead with 2:59 to go in the period.
