SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has named Matt Strangio the Credit Union 1 WCC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week.
Strangio secured an 11th-place finish at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational with a time of 23:35.2, marking his best performance at the event so far and the highest finish by a Pilot runner since 2018. His impressive performance led the Pilots to a 14th-place team finish, a 16-spot improvement from their 30th-place finish last year.
The Pilots will be racing next at the Charles Bowles Invitational on Oct. 5th at Bush's Pasture Park in Salem, Ore. For more coverage and info, visit PortlandPilots.com.
