BERKELEY, Calif. – Portland women's tennis will have at least three players in the main draw of the 2024 ITA Northwest Regional Championships following qualifying action Friday at Hellman Tennis Complex. Nadine Arbaizar Martinez and Alaia Rubio Perez each won a pair of qualifying matches to join Sally Pethybridge in main draw action which begins on Saturday.

Meagan Pearson and Aleksandra Dimitrijevic also won their opening qualifying matches and will be eligible for the lucky loser random draw to fill out the remaining open slots in the main draw.

Overall, the Pilots finished 6-5 in qualifying singles on Friday. Pethybridge and Dimitrijevic will also continue to the Round of 32 in doubles after advancing via opponent withdrawal due to injury on Friday.

With the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships moving to a fall format this year, two singles finalists from each region (26) and the doubles champion from each region will qualify for the NCAA Championships.
