PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Portland Pilots fell 2-0 at home to the No. 20 Pepperdine Waves Wednesday at Merlo Field. The loss dropped Portland's record to 8-4-5 overall and 3-2-2 in WCC action.
Elle Quinn and Tatum Wynalda scored the goals in the match for Pepperdine. Pilot goalkeeper Bre Norris, however, recorded four saves on the night, breaking the all-time record for Portland for saves in a career. She now sits at 265.
How it Happened
Pepperdine scored twice in the match, with Quinn's goal coming in the 22nd minute and Wynalda's in the 86th minute. The Pilots got 12 shots off against the Waves with six of those on goal.
Game Notes
- Norris totaled four saves for the Pilots out of 12 total Waves shots. Her four saves puts her at 265 career saves, which is the most of any Pilot in program history.
- Portland totaled six shots on goal.
