SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Goalkeeper Bre Norris moved up on Portland's all-time career saves list to second, but the Portland Pilots still fell 3-0 on the road against the No. 10 Santa Clara Broncos on Saturday at Stevens Stadium. The loss dropped Portland's record to 6-3-4 overall and 1-1-1 in WCC action.
Norris led Portland with seven saves this afternoon, the second-highest total she's posted this season. The Pilots recorded three shots on goal as well. Portland faced 23 Santa Clara shots, 10 of them on goal.
How it Happened
Norris racked up five of her seven saves in the second half, taking on Santa Clara's attack and allowing just one goal to Tori Powell in the 29th minute. The Broncos went on to score two goals in the second half, with Holly Furphy scoring twice in the 75th in the 77th minute respectively to put the score at its final.

- Norris piled up seven saves for the Pilots out of 23 total Santa Clara shots. That total is good for the second-most saves Norris has posted in a match this year.
- This is the fifth time Norris has posted at least five saves or more in a match this season.
