STOCKTON, Calif. -- The Portland Pilots and the Pacific Tigers played to a 2-2 tie Wednesday at Knoles Field. Portland moved to 2-4-5 overall and 0-0-2 in WCC action following the draw.
Saad Chaouki and Diego Rosas both scored their first goals of the season on Wednesday. Their goals were also the first of their Pilot careers.
How it Happened
Pacific started the scoring when Bele Alomerovic scored in the 47th minute. The Pilots evened the game soon after on a goal from Saad Chaouki -- his first goal of the season -- in the 49th minute, assisted by Diego Rosas.
Portland went up 2-1 on Rosas' sliding 69th-minute goal, his first of the season and of his college career. Kendi Bellini assisted the goal. The Tigers fought back to knot it up at 2-2 with an 85th-minute goal from Ezekiel Padilla off the free kick. Neither team scored again in the game.
Game Notes
- Miguel-Angel Hernandez totaled three saves for the Pilots out of eight total Tigers shots.
- Chaouki and Rosas each scored their first goals of the season and their first goals of their Pilot careers.
- This is the Pilots fourth multi-goal match this season.
