PORTLAND, OR --The Portland Pilots totaled 10 blocks in a 3-0 (20-25, 22-25, 25-27) loss to the San Diego Toreros at home in Chiles Center. The loss dropped Portland's record to 12-12 overall and 5-9 in WCC play.
The Pilots offense was paced by Elin Larsson, who finished with a match-high 15 kills on the day, and by Lucia Busso, who had 10 while hitting .318. Defensively, Portland had two players reach double figures in digs as Havannah Hoeft had 14 and Tinoa Woodward-Hart had 11. From the front row, Nevaeh Bray led the match seven blocks.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Pilots lost set one 25-20 despite a solid performance on the attacking side. Portland put together a .306 attack percentage with 14 kills in the set loss.
SET 2 | Portland lost the second set 25-22, digging a 2-0 deficit in the match. The Pilots knotted the set up five times before the Toreros took over the lead.
SET 3 | Portland couldn't prolong the match and lost in set number three. The Pilots fell in a close set, losing 27-25 in a set that was tied five times and had four lead changes.
