McMINNVILLE, Ore. – Courtney Klatt opened the 2024 outdoor track season by winning the 1,500-meter run Saturday at the Linfield Erik Anderson Memorial Icebreaker.
Klatt posted a time of 4:38.22 and was followed in second-place by teammate Tiahna Woodger (4:40.09). Tait Rowley also earned a top five finish with a time of 4:45.39.
Portland had five women race in the 100-meter run with Ella Parker finishing second overall with a time of 13:12. Freshman Ly'le Pullom was seventh after crossing the line in 13.68 seconds.
Portland track will next be represented at the 2024 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships scheduled for March 8-9 in Boston, Mass. Matt Strangio will compete in the men's 3,000-meter and Laura Pellicoro will toe the line for the women's Indoor Mile. The outdoor season continues at the Lewis & Clark Spring Break Open on March 16.
