PALO ALTO, Calif. – Portland runners Marlee Cavitt, Jona Bodirsky and Courtney Klatt each posted Top 10 program marks to highlight results from the Stanford Invitational.
Cavitt broke her own school record in the 100-meters with a time of 11.74 in Saturday's finals, beating her previous mark of 12.04 set earlier this season.
Bodirsky shaved 48 seconds off his 10,000-meter PR for a time of 28:39.73, No. 6 on the school charts. Chris Anderson also recorded a PR of 29:21.95 in the same race.
Klatt crossed the line in a time of 16:23.25 to sneak into the No. 10 position in the Portland record books.
In the men's 3,000-meter Steeplechase, Estanis Ruiz (8:41.26) and Thomas Chaston (9:06.43) had strong races, while Eliason Kabasenche placed second in his 1,500-meter heat with a PR of 3:44.97.
Portland track will be back in action next week at the Bryan Clay Invitational hosted at Azusa Pacific University beginning on Thursday.
