DALLAS – Portland Pilots reliever Tanner Douglas was named to the 2024 NCBWA Stopper of the Year Midseason Watch List on Wednesday, which highlights the top relievers in all of college baseball.
Douglas was one of 59 pitchers in NCAA Division I named to the midseason list. The NCBWA will announce their finalists for the award on June 5, with the winners announced on June 14 during the College World Series.
The transfer out of Medford has been stellar on the bump for the Pilots this year. He's made a team-high 17 appearances, throwing 25.2 innings with a 2-0 record, a 2.10 ERA and 30 strikeouts. His seven saves on the year leads the West Coast Conference
and ranks 12th nationally in the category.
Next up, the Pilots are headed to Los Angeles to take on the LMU Lions. They kick off the three-game series against the Lions on Friday, April 26 at 6 p.m. Check PortlandPilots.com for live stats and video options.
