PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Portland Pilots and Seattle U Redhawks played to a 1-1 draw at Merlo Field on Thursday. The tie moved Portland's record to 4-2-2 overall.
Hailey Bagby scored the lone goal for Portland, her third of the season. Zoe Hopkins scored for the Redhawks.
How it Happened
Portland took a 1-0 lead when Hailey Bagby notched her third goal of the season in the 18th minute. Bagby was aggressive in the attack, launching a shot on goal, then corralling the ball quickly to score.
The Pilots and Redhawks battled in the second half before Seattle U found the equalizer. The Redhawks responded to tie it on a goal from Zoe Hopkins in the 89th minute. The score remained 1-1 until the end.

- Bre Norris totaled five saves for the Pilots out of 13 total Redhawks shots.
- Hailey Bagby scored her third goal of the season. She's one of three Pilots to have at least three goals on the year.
- Portland's 16 goals through eight games are the most they've had through this many games since 2016.
- The Pilots have still allowed just five goals through eight games.
