PORTLAND, Ore. -- Cally Togiai knocked in a penalty kick for the Portland Pilots as they shut out the Nebraska Cornhuskers 1-0 at Merlo Field. Portland improved to 4-2-1 on the season following the victory.
How it Happened
The first half was a tight contest that saw both teams play tight defense, bending but not breaking. Nebraska had six shots with one on goal while the Pilots had three with two on goal, the score tied 0-0 after the first 45.
The second half followed the same script as the first until Jillian McBride drew a foul in the box, giving Portland a PK in the 84th minute. Togiai knocked it in with authority to give Portland the lead.The lone goal held in the 1-0 match.

- Bre Norris piled up four saves for the Pilots out of 14 total Cornhuskers shots. She's at 222 saves for her career.
