PEEK INTO THE PORT
	- The Portland Pilots are 7-3-6 overall and 4-1-3 in WCC play, sitting at third in the conference with three games to play.
- They most recently tied the Seattle U Redhawks 2-2 on the road and beat the Washington State Cougars 1-0 at home. They are unbeaten in their last four games.
- The tie against the Redhawks matched a record set last year
- Violet Rademacher scored two goals off penalty kicks, becoming the first Pilot to record a brace this season. She now has a team-high six goals for Portland.
- Tayvi Khann scored her first goal of the year against the Cougars, a game-winner against Washington State. It was also the first goal of Khann's career.
- The shutout was the eighth of the year for the Pilots, the most since 2023 for Portland. Goalkeeper Sophia Hills has been in goal for all eight shutouts.
- Hills posted five saves in the match against Washington State. She's posted at least five saves in four different matches this year.
- Portland's defense is among the best in the conference, with Portland ranking second in goals-against average (.688), save percentage (.831) and shutout percentage (.500). Their goals-against average ranks 25th nationally as well.
- Individually, Hills ranks second in shutouts (8) and save percentage (.839) and leads the WCC in goals-against average (.645). That GAA ranks 20th nationally among individual goalkeepers.
- Six different Pilots have scored this season: Violet Rademacher (6), Hailey Still (3), Hailey Bagby (2), Aliyah Dockter (1), Mao Ito (1) and Tayvi Khann (1).
- Nevaeh Peregrina was named to the U.S. Women's National Team U-20 Training Camp Roster on Monday. She will train with the team from Oct. 22-30 in Kansas City.
- Peregrina had two assists on the season, the only Pilot with multiple assists this year.
- The Pilots are coming off a season that saw them finish 9-5-6 overall and 4-3-3 in WCC play. They've won at least nine games each of the last four years, marking the first time the Pilots have put together at least nine wins a season for four straight seasons since a stretch between 2010 and 2013.
- Last season, they were second in the WCC in goal differential (19), goals-against average (0.850) and shutout percentage (.400) while leading the conference in save percentage (.828).
- The Pilots were picked to finish sixth in the annual West Coast Conference Preseason Coaches Poll, with Keeley Dockter representing the Pilots on the All-WCC Preseason Team. This is Dockter's first time making it on the preseason squad.
- Jillian McBride is the lone returner for the Pilots to earn All-WCC honors last season, making the freshman team. She scored one goal and added two assists in her first year on The Bluff.
- The Pilots return 16 players from last year's squad while adding 11 newcomers.
- Among the key returners are forward Hailey Still and Hailey Bagby, who were second and third respectively on the team in total points. Still scored seven goals for 14 points while Bagby added four goals and four assists as a defender.
- Michelle French is in her eighth season as head coach of the Pilots. She's posted a 67-44-27 record overall and led the Pilots to their first postseason appearance in 2022 in nine years.
ABOUT THE BULLDOGS
	- The Gonzaga Bulldogs are 6-8-2 overall and 4-2-2 in WCC play, most recently beating the Seattle U Redhawks 3-2 at home. They are currently fourth in the WCC, right behind Portland.
- Last season, the Bulldogs went 10-7-2 overall and 6-3-1 in WCC play to take third in the conference.
- The Bulldogs were picked to finish third in the WCC in the annual preseason poll, with just Makayla Werner making the All-WCC Preseason Team.
- Werner has started all 16 matches this year for the Bulldogs, recording one goal.
- Their leading scorer this season is Amelia Severn, who has six goals and five assists for 17 points.
- Katie Benz is in her second season as head coach of the Zags. She is 16-15-4 in her two seasons so far.
