PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Portland Pilots fell to the San Diego Toreros on Wednesday 2-1 at Merlo Field. The Pilots fall to 5-3-4 on the year and 2-1-1 in WCC play.
Violet Rademacher scored her third goal of the year, doing so on a penalty kick. Her three goals is now tied for the team lead in goals.
How it Happened
San Diego struck first, scoring in the 17th minute and the 68th minute of the matches. The Pilots got on the board in the 72nd minute after earning the penalty kick on a handball. Rademacher took the kick and scored to make it 2-1 Toreros. The Pilots did not find the equalizer.
Game Notes
- Rademacher's goal was her third of the year. The goal puts her in a tie for the team lead in goals.
- This was Portland's first loss in WCC play.
