SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Portland men's tennis players Nikola Keremedchiev and Stefan Skobelev both earned honorable mention recognition as the 2025 WCC Men's Tennis All-Academic Team was announced on Wednesday.
To qualify for WCC All-Academic Team honors, student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to their team and in at least their second year at their school.
Keremedchiev is a junior business major with a 3.28 cumulative grade point average. On the court, he featured at No. 2 singles and went 14-9 overall and 8-7 in dual matches this season. He also picked up five dual doubles victories.
Skobelev is also majoring business with a 3.33 GPA. The sophomore from Nis, Serbia finished the 2025-26 season with an 11-10 singles record and six doubles victories at the No. 1 position. He garnered WCC honorable mention honors with doubles partner Maxim Groysman.
Keremedchiev and Skobelev are two of six lineup players expected to return next year for a Pilot squad that finished 7-10 overall this season.
