LARAMIE, Wyo. --The Pilots could not out-play an opposing Beach offense Friday falling to Long Beach State in straight sets (19-25, 10-25, 17-25). The non-conference loss dropped Portland to 5-5 on the season.
Elin Larsson and Maui Robins each finished with eight kills on the day to pace the Pilots offense. Portland got 7 digs from Maui Robins to lead them defensively.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Pilots found themselves in an early deficit, dropping a tough first set 25-19. Portland tied the set up two times before the Beach took control.
SET 2 | Portland then lost the second set 25-10 to fall behind in the match two sets to none.
SET 3 | Portland couldn't prolong the match and lost in set number three. The Pilots fell early om and fought from behind the rest of the way before losing the set 25-17.
