LARAMIE, Wyo. -- Portland could not overcome an opposing Cowgirls offense Saturday on the road falling to Wyoming in three sets (18-25, 21-25, 20-25). The non-conference loss moved Portland to 5-6 on the season.
The Pilots offense was paced by Maui Robins, who finished with a match-high 13 kills on the day while accumulating a hitting percentage of .375. Elin Larsson added 12 and Lucia Busso chipped in with 11 as part of balanced Portland attack. Portland got a match-high 12 digs from Tinoa Woodward-Hart to lead them defensively.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Pilots found themselves in an early deficit, losing a tough first set 25-18. Portland trailed by as many as seven points as Wyoming grabbed the advantage for good at 16-15 in a set that was notted up 13 times before the Cowgirls took over in the second half of the set.
SET 2 | Portland then dropped set two 25-21 to fall behind in the match two sets to none. The Pilots trailed by as many as seven points as Wyoming grabbed the advantage for good at 4-3 in a set that was tied up three times before the Cowgirls took over the lead.
SET 3 | Portland was not able to win set three and was swept by Wyoming. The Pilots lost the set 25-20 in spite of a strong showing on the attacking end. Portland registered a .438 attack percentage with 17 kills in the set loss.

The Pilots open West Coast Conference play at home, hosting the Pacific Tigers on Thursday, Sept. 25 at 6:00 p.m. at the Chiles Center.
