SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Portland Pilots guard Florence Dallow earned WCC Player of the Week Honors for the first time this season, making it the second week in a row the Pilots have earned a weekly honor.
Dallow scored a team-high 18 points with eight rebounds in Portland's win over the reigning WCC Tournament Champs, the Oregon State Beavers, on Saturday. Dallow reached a career-high for both points and assists and hit a crucial three with just over a minute to play that put it away. The win gave the Pilots their first home win over Oregon State since 2002.
The New Zealand native has been stellar for the Pilots in her first year back from injury. Dallow is averaging 10.2 points per game along with 4.4 rebounds and 1.1 steals. She is second on the team in scoring and ranks third in the WCC among qualified players in free throw percentage at 84.1%.
The Pilots are 14-10 on the year and 8-4 in WCC play. They take on the Washington State Cougars on the road in Pullman on Thursday, Feb. 12 at 6 p.m. for their next contest. They'll play at home against Santa Clara Broncos on Saturday, Feb. 14 at 5 p.m.
