PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland women's tennis defeated the Montana Grizzlies Sunday at the Louisiana-Pacific Tennis Center. It marks the third consecutive victory for the Pilots (4-5), while the Grizzlies fall to 2-9 on the season.

The Pilots secured the doubles point with wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions. Nadine Arbaizar Martinez and Meagan Pearson cruised to a 6-0 win against Shivika Agrawal and Monika Fizova at No. 3 and then Lexie Flores and Dariya Radulova clinched with a 6-3 defeat of Paige Bott and Kaylin Kielty at No. 2.

Arbaizar Martinez doubled Portland's lead with a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 3 singles over Fizova. Radulova followed shortly thereafter with a 6-3, 6-2 victory against Meghna Anand at No. 2. Alaia Rubio Perez provided the match-clinching point with a 6-4, 7-6 win against Kelsey Phillips at the top of the lineup.

Pearson picked up the final point for the Pilots with a straight sets win against Kamila Slovakova at No. 6. Montana took a pair of 10-point, three-set tiebreakers at No. 4 and No. 5 singles for their two points.

Portland will conclude non-league action Tuesday at home versus Montana State at 10 a.m. The Pilots open West Coast Conference play by hosting the Santa Clara Broncos on Saturday and the San Diego Toreros on Sunday, both with 10 a.m. first serves.
