VANCOUVER, Wash. – Portland Pilots rowing is set for their lone home meet of the season, hosting the Seattle U Redhawks and Santa Clara Broncos for the Portland Invite at Vancouver Lake. Races begin at 10 a.m.
Prior to the official races, various Pilot alumni will race together at 8:30 a.m. The varsity four races will kick things off at 10 a.m., with the Pilots putting two boats in the race. The Pilots have two more boats in the second varsity eight race, which begins at 10:20 a.m. The first varsity eight will close out the racing at 10:40 a.m.
Following the racing, the Pilots will celebrate seven seniors at the Vancouver Lake Boathouse. Elizabeth Adams, Claire Banasky, Veronica Conklin, Madi Franco, Tania Hernandez, Rachel Hester and Isabella Honig will all be honored. Celebrations will begin at approximately 11:30 a.m.
The Pilots most recently competed at the Dexter Lake Invite in Lowell, Ore. They've earned wins at both the Sacramento State Invite and the Puget Sound Invite, sweeping the varsity races at American Lake and winning the third varsity eight race at Lake Natoma.
