LOGAN, Utah – Portland Pilots Women's Soccer dropped the first of two games in Utah to the Utah State Aggies, falling 2-0 in Logan. The loss puts Portland at 0-2 on the year.
How it Happened
The first goal slipped by Portland keeper Sophia Hills in the fifth minute, giving Utah State an early lead. The Aggies scored again in the 66
th to make it 2-0. Portland put together five shots in the second half – with one on target from Journey Middleborn – but couldn't find the goals to equalize.
Game Notes
- Journey Middleborn had the lone shot on goal for Portland. Violet Rademacher, Tatum Manley, Jordyn Womack and Rose Calkins all had shots as well.
- Sophia Hills recorded two saves in the contest.
- Manley and Middleborn made their Pilot debuts on Thursday. Taylor Norman also played in her first match since 2024.
