PORTLAND, Ore. – University of Portland men's basketball released its 16-game 2026-27 non-conference schedule on Thursday. The Pilots will host six home games at the Chiles Center, compete in tournaments at Hawaii and Palm Desert, Calif., and play notable road games at Colorado, Stanford and Utah.

Portland's West Coast Conference opponents were announced previously and the league's complete schedule is expected to be released soon.

The regular season schedule officially tips off with a doubleheader against Willamette University at the Chiles Center on Monday, Nov. 2. The men play at 5 p.m. followed by the women at 7:30 p.m.

Portland then heads to Hawaii for the Rainbow Classic Nov. 6-9. Games will be played on Friday, Sunday and Monday with University of Hawaii serving as the host. Matchups and game times will be announced shortly.

The Pilots return home to host East Texas A&M on Friday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. before visiting Colorado on Wednesday, Nov. 18.

The team then heads to the previously announced Acrisure Series in Palm Desert, Calif. and will face Fordham on Saturday, Nov. 21 and then Cal Baptist on Sunday, Nov. 22.

Following Thanksgiving Break, the Pilots will visit the Stanford Cardinal on Sunday, Nov. 29 and then UC Davis on Tuesday, Dec. 1.

Four of the final six non-league games will be played at the Chiles Center beginning with a Dec. 10 matchup with Lamar in a matinee 11 a.m. tip-off. Eastern Washington then visits on Sunday, Dec. 13 at 2 p.m.

After another big road game at Utah on Wednesday, Dec. 16, the Pilots return for another home doubleheader against Wyoming on Saturday, Dec. 19. The UP women tip off at 2 p.m. followed by the men at 5 p.m.

A road game at Long Beach State on Tuesday, Dec. 22 is the final Division I game. The team will take on Evergreen State on Monday, Dec. 28 at 2 p.m. before preparing for the West Coast Conference slate which begins on Saturday, Jan. 2.

Portland returns six players from last year's squad that won 15 games, including an 87-80 upset victory over No. 6 Gonzaga late in the season, and a pair of games at the WCC Tournament. Head Coach Shantay Legans also added a talented group of nine newcomers to the mix.
