PORTLAND, Ore. -- Portland Women's Soccer launches the 2026 season with an exhibition match against Oregon on Wednesday, Aug. 5. Kickoff is at 6 p.m. at Merlo Field. Tickets are available for purchase at PortlandPilots.com/Tickets.
The Pilots finished off the 2025 season with a 10-3-6 record and 7-1-3 in conference, tying for second in the WCC. Their second-place finish in the WCC Conference is the highest finish since 2013, which is also the last year; Portland won seven games in conference before last season. Portland ended the season on a positive note with a winning streak of four games.
The Oregon Ducks went 3-10-5 overall and 1-6-4 in conference last year, placing last in the Big Ten. The Ducks had a winning percentage of .306 overall and .273 in conference due to their singular win in conference against No. 8 Washington. Last season, the Pilots and the Ducks played in Eugene and tied 0-0.
University of Portland Athletics is actively monitoring the Air Quality Index (AQI) in coordination with campus officials and medical staff guidelines ahead of tomorrow's scheduled exhibition. We will continue to evaluate conditions leading up to game time and will provide an update tomorrow afternoon.
Portland will roll into the regular season on Wednesday, Aug.12 when they take on Washington in Seattle at 7 p.m. Check PortlandPilots.com for live stats and video options.
