BOZEMAN, Mont. - Portland Pilots Volleyball fell to the North Dakota State Bison in a three-set sweep (25-21, 25-22, 25-16). Taina Kaauwai had an impressive performance with a match high hitting percentage of .545, as well as seven kills from the middle blocker.

Game Notes

Maui Robins had a team high of 10 kills and two service aces

Taina Kaauwai had a hitting percentage of .545, a match high across both teams and recorded seven kills

Havannah Hoeft led the offense with 27 assists and had a match high for both teams of 11 digs

Shaylee Stephen had a team high of three total blocks

How It Happened

SET 1 | The Pilots had 16 kills, with Kala Chock spiking down five of the 16. Kaauwai secured an impressive hitting percentage of .750 in the first set. The Bison took the set 25-21.

SET 2 | Portland kept a close game, trailing the Bison only 21-19 by the last timeout, but North Dakota pulled ahead to take the set 25-22. The Pilots had a four-point run in the middle of the set and three blocks as team. Robins recorded five kills and Hoeft had four digs.

SET 3 | Pilots kept it close early in the set before the Bison pulled away. Hoeft had another four digs and Stephen put down two of her three block assists. Portland fell in the last set 25-16.
