BOZEMAN, Mont. - Portland Pilots Volleyball took the win over the Montana State Bobcats in four sets (24-26, 25-15, 25-20, 25-23). Taina Kaauwai exceeded 150 career digs and Kala Chock recorded a double-double.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Pilots played a back and forth game for the first set, staying within two points of the Bobcats for most of the set. Maui Robins put down five of Portland's 16 kills and Hildenbrand posted four digs. Diehl Palmer recorded a hitting percentage of .800 in the first set with four kills. Montana State was able to take the set 26-24
SET 2 | Portland had three service aces, two of which came from Tinoa Woodward-Hart, in the set. Pilots had a five-point run taking them from a six-point lead to an 11-point lead and Diehl Palmer and Chock both put down four kills each. Pilots took the quick set at 25-15.
SET 3 | Woodward-Hart saved six of Portland's 19 digs, while Chock and Hildenbrand both had five digs. Hoeft had 10 of her 35 assists in this set and Portland won the set 25-20, with Chock's final set kill out of four
SET 4 | Portland won the match with the final set, a close game where both teams stayed within two points of each other most the way. Portland had 11 digs, three service aces and 11 kills over the Bobcats. Kaauwai had a set high of five kills and Portland ended the set on a four-point streak 25-23

The Pilots travel to Cheney, Wash. next week for the Eastern Washington Volleyball Tournament hosted by the Eastern Washington Eagles. They will start off their weekend with a match against the Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunners. The match will take place on Thursday, Sept. 17 at 3 p.m. at Reese Court.
