SAN JOSE, Calif. - Portland Pilots Volleyball won over the UC Riverside Highlanders in a four-set match (22-25, 27-25, 25-11, 27-25). Maui Robins came into the game running with a double-double and Havannah Hoeft surpassed 2,000 career assists.

How It Happened
SET 1 | Diehl Palmer put down two of Portland's four blocks and Robins had four digs. Kaauwaui recorded a set high across both teams of five kills. UCR won the close set at 25-22, only two points after Portland's five-point run
SET 2 | The Pilots came to the second set strong with 20 team kills. Robins led with six kills and Kaauwai had five kills. Hoeft and Hildenbrand both laid out five digs, Hildenbrand closed out the set with her first service ace of the match and Portland took the set 27-25
SET 3 | Pilots dominated in the third set with three aces and a 14-point gap, winning the set 25-11. The Pilots started the set with a five-point run, Haddock spiked four kills and tied with Robins in three digs each
SET 4 | Portland took the last set from behind after trailing the Highlanders up to five points. The Pilots managed to tie at 17-17 before pushing ahead in what turned out to be a close second half of the set. Woodward-Hart had five digs and Robins had four kills, Portland took the match 27-25

Pilot Volleyball continues their matches on the road with a trip to Montana where they will play in the Bobcat Invitational hosted by Montana State. The Pilots will play the North Dakota State Bison on Friday, Sept. 11 at 10 a.m. in the Shroyer Gym.
