ENTRY #9: NaKeisha Brown

Greetings Pilot Fans!!
For those who don’t know, I am the fabulous NaKeisha Brown, aka Keisha, aka Keish, and lastly, aka kei-ball. I can’t believe I’m finally saying this, but I’m a [Senior] guard form Houston Texas. Oh my, where has the time gone?
Not to mention, the second semester of school has now started and we are up and at it again. This means no more fun nights in the Jacuzzi, lying around watching movies, or crocheting hats and scarves any more. Majority of everyone is excited about school starting, especially Kari, but I don’t think anyone is as excited as Z, Nikki, and I to be on our final semester.
To end the break with some fun on Saturday night, the team got together to celebrate Amy Pupa’s 20th birthday! We all hung out at Sarah G’s house on campus, watched the men’s basketball game versus St Mary’s, sang happy birthday, ate, and danced off all of those brownies.
To my surprise on Sunday, it snowed for literally five minutes and then the sun came out. It tried to snow again on Monday but it didn’t really stick. Finally, it snowed on Tuesday night and decided to stick to the ground for awhile. Nikki and Jasmine were so excited about the snow, they went outside along with a hundred other students to play in it. They attempted to get me to join, but I truly dislike being cold, therefore I decided I’d be a spectator from my window.
Guess what Pilot Fans?? We finally stumbled upon our first victory in conference on Saturday afternoon versus San Francisco. Nikki hit the game winning shot (a fade away jumper from the top of the key) with one second left to go in regulation. Talk about a fun and exciting game. Now, today we are headed to San Diego to play USD on Thursday and take a second shot at BYU on Saturday. Wish us luck and stay tuned in to see how we do!
