ABOUT THE PILOTS

· The Pilots (0-13) hosted Pepperdine and Loyola Marymount last week, but were unable to come away with their first victory of the season.
· Portland fell to Pepperdine 3-2 last Thursday by the score of 25-17, 16-25 and 25-22, 16-25 and 10-15. Senior outside hitter Autumn Wedan had a game-high 23 kills, but had an attacking percentage of only .186. Sophomore outside hitter Emily Liger stepped up in a big way and added 12 kills on an attacking percentage of .259.
·  Portland then fell to Loyola Marymount on Saturday 3-0 at the Chiles Center. Makayla Lindburg led the way for the Pilots with 10 kills, and Wedan chipped in with 11 digs to lead the Pilots.
· Senior outside hitter Autumn Wedan extended her streak of leading the team in kills to 12 games this season, but it ended on Saturday when she finished the game against LMU with a total of five. Lindburg led the team in kills for the first time this season.
· Wedan still leads the team in kills with 212. Her 4.61 kills per set also ranks her 10th in the country. She also averages five points per set, which is the 20th in the country.
· Senior setter Monica Jordan leads the team in sets with 454, and junior libero Katie Mardesich is the team-leader in digs with 174 on the year. Wedan is also second on the team in digs with 140.
· The Pilots are now 0-4 against the WCC to start the season.

· Santa Clara (6-6) is coming off back-to-back losses against LMU and San Francisco last week, with both matches going the distance.
· Taylor Milton led the way in the most recent game against San Francisco when she finished with 16 kills and eight digs. However, the team finished with four players with double-digit kill totals, including a double-double by Nikki Hess (11 kills and 15 digs.)Â
· Hess also leads the team in kills with 145 on the season, followed by Megan Anders with 138 and Milton with 118. Alyssa Anderson is the team's leading setter with 429, while Danielle Rottman has a team-high 146 digs on the year.
· Head coach Jon Wallace is in his 15th year with the Broncos, and has 167 career wins under his belt coming into this week's play.
· The Last time Portland faced Santa Clara was in 2012 when the Broncos topped the Pilots 3-1 at Santa Clara.

· San Francisco (6-7) is coming off of back-to-back wins against Pepperdine and Santa Clara, with both matches going the distance as well.
· In their most recent match against Santa Clara, Katarina Pilepic led the way with 14 kills and eight digs.
· On the season, Valentina Zalozink leads the team in kills with 161 and a solid attacking percentage of .358.
· Mackenzie Murtagh has a team-high 296 assists on the season, who is followed closely by Kiara McKibben with 149.
· Head coach Gilad Doron is in his seventh season with San Francisco, and owns an over record of 95-90.
· The last time Portland faced San Francisco was in 2012 when the Dons beat the Pilots 3-0 in San Francisco.
