Portland Pilots volleyball assistant coach Nate Ngo was named to the 2014 U.S. Women's Junior National Team coaching staff, announced USA Volleyball last week. Ngo will serve as the technical coordinator on the four-person staff that will guide the junior national team at the biennial NORCECA Women's U-20 continental Championship that will take place this July in Guetemala.
"I am very excited and grateful for the opportunity to represent USA as a part of the Junior National Team Staff this summer," Ngo said. "I would like to thank UP head coach Brent Crouch and the University of Portland administration for their support."
Ngo last served as the technical coordinator for the 2012 Pan Am Cup gold medal winning U.S. Women's National Team. Prior to that, he served as the volleyball information system supervisor for multiple USA Volleyball events such as the 2009 women's Pan Am Cup and the 2012 NORCECA Men's Olympic Qualifier.
"I am looking forward to providing the team support, especially from a technical standpoint, but also to continue to learn as a coach from some of the best coaches in the country," added Ngo.
