2015 SchedulePORTLAND, Ore. --- The 2015 Portland volleyball schedule will feature four tournaments in addition to conference play with two of the tournaments taking place at the Chiles Center in the beginning of September.
In head coach Brent Crouch's second season, the Pilots will travel to the Midwest for the first tournament of the year as they take on Wisconsin-Green Bay (Aug. 28) and Youngstown State (Aug. 29) at the University of Toledo Tournament in Toledo, Ohio.
After going on the road for all of non-conference play last season, the Pilots will hit home court for the first time this season on Friday, Sept. 4 against the Nevada Wolfpack. Saturday, Sept. 5 will feature matchups against Grand Canyon in the morning and UC Riverside at night. The following weekend will be a four team tournament as St. Francis (Sept. 11), Idaho (Sept. 12), and Cal Poly (Sept. 12) make their way to The Bluff.
On Sept. 18 and 19 Portland will head south to Fresno, Calif. for the final tournament before conference play. Friday, the Pilots will face Fresno State and UC Davis, then on Saturday morning they will take on Southern Utah.
Round robin, West Coast Conference play begins with a home stand against Saint Mary's on Thursday, Sept. 24 at 7:00 PM and Pacific on Saturday, Sept. 26 at 12:00 PM.
The Pilots are then in the Bay Area for the first weekend of October to face Santa Clara (Oct. 1) and San Francisco (Oct. 3).
Portland will then host a pair of Southern California teams in Pepperdine (Oct. 8) and Loyola Marymount (Oct. 10) before heading on the road for three matches in three different states.
First stop will be San Diego (Oct. 15) before heading north to Provo, Utah to take on BYU (Oct. 17). The Pilots will have just one match the following weekend in Spokane, Wash. against Gonzaga (Oct. 24).
To start the second half of conference play, Portland will host San Francisco on Thursday, Oct. 29 and feature Santa Clara on Halloween with first serve coming at noon.
The Pilots will spend most of November on the road, beginning with a trip to Los Angeles, Calif. to play Loyola Marymount (Nov. 5) and Pepperdine (Nov. 7). Portland will host 2014 conference champions and National runner-up BYU on Nov. 12 and San Diego on Nov. 14.
For the final conference weekend, the Pilots will be in Northern California taking on Pacific (Nov. 19) and Saint Mary's (Nov. 21). The last WCC match will be at home against Gonzaga on Tuesday, Nov. 24. To wrap up the season, Portland will head up I-5 to take on Seattle (Nov. 27) in a non-conference match-up.
