THIS WEEKÂ
• The Pilots return home to the Chiles Center to host Loyola Marymount and Pepperdine.Â
• LMU enters the weekend with a 3-2 win over Saint Mary's and a sweep over Pacific. Junior Sara Kovac and sophomore Savannah Slattery lead the lions in kills with 176 and 162, respectively.
• Pepperdine also battled the Gaels and the Tigers, topping both teams 3-1. Sophomores Hannah Frohling and Jasmine Gross lead the Waves on offense with 226 and 195 kills. Gross also leads the WCC in blocks (93) and blocks per set (1.48), while also ranking 7th in the nation in total blocks.Â
• The Waves currently lead conference in digs per set (15.94), team assists (828), team attacks per set (37.89), team digs (1,0004), team kills (875), and team total attacks (2,387).

LAST WEEK
• The Pilots navigated south to Northern California for their first road trip of conference.Â
• Portland first took on San Francisco on Thursday nigh. Down 2-1 after three sets, the Pilots won two straight sets to complete the comeback and overcome the Dons in five.Â
• The Pilots then traveled to Santa Clara for another five set thriller in the Leavey Center. Again down 2-1, Portland won the last two sets to complete the road sweep over the Broncos.
• In the match against the Dons, senior Hannah Troutman also recorded a career high in kills with 28.Â

ABOUT THE PILOTS
• The program welcomed six true freshmen to The Bluff as one of the top Portland recruiting classes in Pilot history. The newcomers ranked in the top-55 nationally and top-three in the West Coast Conference. Liz Reich and Kassidy Naone hold All-American honors from several publications, while Carey Williams was named to the Defensive Dandy Third-Team.
• The Pilots were picked to place third in conference going into preseason, marking the highest ever vote for the program in the Preseason Poll. Troutman was also named to the All-WCC Preseason team.Â
• Portland claimed the Rumble in the Rockies tournament title to start the 2017 season and were also named the Champions of the Lobo Classic.
• The sweep over UTA at the Lobo Classic marked Crouch's 100th match as head coach for the Pilots.Â
• Five different Pilots have earned All-Tournament Honors at their four preseason tournaments. Reghan Pukis was named to the North Harbour Mariott Invitational and Rumble in the Rockies All-Tournament teams, Katie Barker the Lobo Classic tournament team, and Carey Williams also earned Rumble in the Rockies All-Tournament honors. Cali Thompson has landed on the All-Tournament team at all four preseason tournaments, and was named Most Outstanding setter at the Lobo Classic. Troutman was named tournament MVP to start the season at the Rumble in the Rockies, and also claimed All-Tournament honors at the Nike Invite and Lobo Classic.Â
• Troutman currently leads the WCC in attacks per set (12.23) and total attacks (758). She also ranks second in kills per set (4.03), points (278.0), points per set (4.48), and total kills (250). Nationally, the junior is in the top-25 in attacks per set and total attacks at 13th and 18th, respectively.Â
• Barker ranks first in conference in service aces (24) and aces per set (.39)
• Thompson is first in league in assists (657) and is just behind Barker in aces (22).
• The team leads the WCC in team service aces (101).Â
